Let's Play Outside - 4 Fun Outdoor Activities for families

With the weather finally starting to cool down, now is a good time to go out and play with your children. Not only the sun and fresh air are good for the whole family, but playing outside is also a good way to get some exercise. Here are some ideas for you and your children.

Bikes and Ride

When was the last time you did a bike ride through the neighbor hood? Riding a bike is a great way to spend time with your kids outside after work. Dust off your old bike,put helmets on everyone and go for a bike ride. You can also go on a long trip over the weekend. Ask your dealer or the city's parks and recreation department about trails are family friendly. Carry a couple of sandwiches and water bottles filled and ready for a ride and a picnic.

Go on a nature hike

A nature walk is a great way to spend time outdoors with your child. It 's also a chance to teach him about nature, life cycles, theClimate and much more. If you have binoculars, take a close encounter with wild animals you can. Even a squirrel in an interesting object, with binoculars. Take some 'plastic or paper baggies with you to collect leaves, rocks or pine cones. If you come home and your child can make a collage of leaves and restore all the objects in a scene from the forest in a box of old shoes.

Dig Out-The roller skates

Remember how much fun you had roller-skatingif you were a child? Dig for roller skates or inline skates, and just get out there. Here you will find a smooth sidewalk to ride, or consider visiting a track for the whole family. Roller skating is another great way for families to spend time together outside. You can drive very young children in strollers or push the child into a tricycle, while the rest of the family shoes.

Discover a new park or playground

Take a card or a phone call to your local parkand recreation department and a new park or playground, you can explore together. Spend an hour or two in the playground, take a walk on the path of a new park, or pack a couple of sandwiches for a simple picnic in the park, you never know what might have been missed before exploring the various parks and playgrounds to run in your area.
